Please share your thoughts with us now that you've finished recording.
I originally auditioned for a different role, so I was surprised when I learned I was cast as Hiyok. It was easy to get the hang of his way of speaking and his personality, so he’s pretty easy to play.
I’ve always loved series revolving around the mafia ever since I was a kid, so I’m really happy about being a part of this series.
Please tell us about the character you played, along with your first impression of them, any similarities between you, their best qualities, and things you kept in mind while acting.
Hiyok spends a lot of scenes drinking or rolling around in the garbage dump drunk, so you get the impression that he’s a typical delinquent.
But his love for Taozhe is stronger than anyone else’s, and that combined with his friendly disposition is why he’s beloved by everyone.
I feel like his passionate nature is part of his charm. And I think it’s an important point that Hiyok has a thirst for a lot more than just alcohol.
Could you tell us about any scenes in particular which left a lasting impression on you?
It’s a series that focuses on the outlaws of society. The battle scenes are powerful, especially when characters wield their frayglyphs.
Just like the concept of “Nullifying”, I feel loss and gain are the main themes of this story.
Finally, please leave a message for the fans who are looking forward to the game's release.
So many times while we were recording I was like, wait, it’s not going to end here?!
It’s a profound story that a variety of characters are woven into, so I hope you guys will get so invested in the story that you lose track of time. Thanks for your support.
